Приднестровский республиканский банк летом 2014 года выпустил две памятные монеты.
Аверсы монет одинаковые: в центре – изображение государственного герба Приднестровской Молдавской Республики. По кругу – надписи: «ПРИДНЕСТРОВСКИЙ РЕСПУБЛИКАНСКИЙ БАНК», соответствующий номинал «10 РУБЛЕЙ» или »5 РУБЛЕЙ», год выпуска монеты «2014», логотип изготовителя, государственное пробирное клеймо и технические характеристики монет.
15 июля 2014 года была выпущена монета «50 лет Молдавской ГРЭС (1964–2014)» серии «Промышленность Приднестровья».
В центре реверса представлен производственный комплекс ЗАО «Молдавская ГРЭС», над ним – надпись «1964 – 2014», внизу надпись «50 ЛЕТ МОЛДАВСКОЙ ГРЭС».
Монета 10 рублей из серебра 925 пробы, имеет вес 14,14 г, диаметр 32 мм. Тираж – 180 шт.
1 августа 2014 года была выпущена монета «70 лет Ясско-Кишинёвской операции» вне серии.
В центре реверса изображена мемориальная стела, по обеим сторонам стелы – лавровые ветви, надпись «70 лет»; внизу надпись «ЯССКО–КИШИНЁВСКОЙ ОПЕРАЦИИ».
Монета 5 рублей из серебра 925 пробы, имеет вес 14,14 г, диаметр 32 мм. Тираж – 250 шт.

Королевский монетный двор Австралии 5 мая 2014 года выпустит в продажу две новые монеты серии «Яркие жуки».
Аверс монет одинаковый: портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Иена Рэнк-Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS). Вокруг выгравированы надписи: «ELIZABETH II», название страны и год чеканки монеты «AUSTRALIA 2014».
Монета «Красный муравей-бульдог»
На реверсе изображен вид примитивных муравьёв-бульдогов Австралии, которые обладают сильным жалом и ядом, способным вызвать сильную аллергическую реакцию и анафилактический шок. Муравей Myrmecia gulosa является эмблемой Австралийского энтомологического общества. Это выбор связан как с заметным «кусачим поведением», так и с тем, что он стал одним из самых первых собранных и научно описанных из Австралии видов насекомых.
Монета «Кузнечик Леичхардта»
Реверс монеты представляет невероятно яркого кузнечика, который получил своё название в честь исследователя Людвига Леичхардта (Ludwig Leichhardt), который обнаружил и описал его в 1845 году. Кузнечик имеет очень яркую окраску: его тело окрашено в ярко-красный цвет с синими отметинами на переднеспинке и черными на крыльях. Питается только одним родом цветковых растений, под названием pityrodia. Большую часть свое жизни они проводят только на одном растение «хозяине». После появления из яиц, молодняк держится и питается у основания растений, а подрастая, перебирается выше на само растение. Столь яркая окраска предупреждает хищников о том, что эти кузнечики плохие на вкус. И хотя она помогает им отпугивать птиц, другие хищники – такие как рептилии, амфибии, некоторые пауки и осы все равно охотятся на них.
В нижней части реверсов монет указан номинал «1 DOLLAR».
Монеты по 1 доллару из сплава AlZnBr (UNC) имеют вес 9 г, диаметр 25 мм. Тираж 30 000 шт.

Royal Australian Mint has submitted the next two coins in the Bright Bug Series Leichhardt’s Grasshopper and Red Bull Ant.
Leichhardt’s Grasshopper
This coin is the fifth coin in the Bright Bug Series. Hatched in the remote plains of the Northern Territory and Western Australia with dull colouring, the Leichhardt’s Grasshopper might never seem destined to take on the world. However, as it grows and develops a vivid body of brick red, midnight black, orange and royal blue, it soon finds its purpose, its home and its mission. The whole world might still be too much for it to conquer, but it does manage to pounce on a single Pityrodia shrub. It lives in and eats its one host plant for its entire life. While the grasshopper rules its shrub with no predators to threaten its kingdom, its life is not without challenges. Yearly burning of the scrub land where it is found can leave the creature homeless and foodless.
Red Bull Ant
The Red Bull Ant is believed to be dwelling in elaborate underground nests with two or three guard ants serving as loyal bouncers. This ant is alleged to be the ringleader of a ruthless food network: extracting liquids from bees and other ants, and feeding the leftovers to its larvae. Witnesses report that the worker ants’ own infertile eggs have also supplemented this diet. Be on the lookout for its bright yellow mandibles and reddish-brown head and thorax. If seen, the Red Bull Ant should be considered venomous; one sting from its tail can result in three days of pain and swelling. For those too wise to try to capture one alive, capture one in coin form as part of the Royal Australian Mint’s Bright Bugs series, this is the last coin in the Series.

Нацбанк Украины 18 июля 2014 года монету «Джон Джеймс Юз». Монета посвящена британскому горному инженеру, промышленнику, основателю металлургического завода, вокруг которого образовался поселок Юзовка (до 1924 года), ныне – город Донецк.
На аверсе вверху размещен малый Государственный Герб Украины и надпись «НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ». В центре – стилизованная композиция, отражающая производство. Также указаны год чеканки монеты 2014, логотип Монетного двора НБУ и номинал «2 ГРИВНІ».
На реверсе представлен портрет Джона Джеймса Юза, рядом от которым имеется надпись «ДЖОН ДЖЕЙМС ЮЗ» и годы его жизни «1814–1889».
Монета 2 гривны из нейзильбера (Special UNC), имеет вес 12,8 г, диаметр 31 мм. Тираж – 20 000 шт.

The National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation the commemorative coin, dedicated to a British mining engineer, metallurgist, businessman, founder of the metal works, around of which the settlement of Yuzivka (till 1924) appeared, now - the city of Donetsk.
Obverse: above there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine); in the center there is the conventionalized composition representing the works; to the right there is the coin issue year indication 2014, to the left - the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint; below there is the coin face value 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias).

The Winter Palace (Russian: Зимний дворец) in Saint Petersburg, Russia, was, from 1732 to 1917, the official residence of the Russian monarchs. Situated between the Palace Embankment and the Palace Square, adjacent to the site of Peter the Great's original Winter Palace, the present and fourth Winter Palace was built and altered almost continuously between the late 1730s and 1837, when it was severely damaged by fire and immediately rebuilt. The storming of the palace in 1917 as depicted in Soviet paintings and Eisenstein's 1927 film October became an iconic symbol of the Russian Revolution.
Today, the restored palace forms part of the complex of buildings housing the Hermitage Museum.
