Нацбанк Украины 31 июля 2014 года выпустил памятные монеты «Высшие учебные заведения Украины», посвященные одному из старейших и крупнейших учебных заведений страны – Киевскому национальному университету им. Тараса Шевченко.
На аверсе монет размещены: вверху малый Государственный Герб Украины, надпись полукругом «НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ». Тилизованная композиция – на фоне портретов выдающихся личностей, причастных к созданию и деятельности Киевского университета, изображен Святой Владимир; внизу номинал, справа – год чеканки 2014.
На реверсе монеты на зеркальном фоне изображено здание Киевского национального университета имени Тараса Шевченко (на монете из нейзильбера – здание красного цвета, использована тампопечать), памятник Тарасу Шевченко; внизу надписи 180 / РОКІВ (180 лет), 1834, 2014; вверху по кругу размещена надпись «КИЇВСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ УНІВЕРСИТЕТ ІМЕНІ ТАРАСА ШЕВЧЕНКА».
Монета 5 гривен из серебра 925 пробы, имеет вес 15,55 г, диаметр 33 мм, гурт гладкий с углубленной надписью. Тираж – 3 000 шт.
Монета 2 гривны из нейзильбера, имеет вес 12,8 г, диаметр 31 мм, рифленый гурт. Тираж – 200 000 шт.

The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, one of the oldest and largest education establishments of Ukraine. The University is a center of education and science where the traditions are kept up and multiplied, new ideas are fostered, national intelligentsia is formed and freedom-loving spirit is supported. Coin issued in the Higher educational establishments of Ukraine series.
Obverse: on the obverse of the coin there are depicted: above – the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine); in the centre - the conventionalized composition - against the background of portraits of the outstanding personalities connected with the foundation and activities of the Kyiv University there is the figure of St. Volodymyr; below - the coin face value: 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (5 hryvnias); to the left there is the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint; to the right - the coin issue year indication 2014.
Reverse: on the reverse of the coin, on the mirror surface, there is depicted the building of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (on the German silver coin it is red, pad printing used), the monument to Taras Shevchenko; below there are the legends 180/РОКІВ, 1834, 2014 (180/years, 1834, 2014); above, along the coin edge, there is the inscription КИЇВСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ УНІВЕРСИТЕТ ІМЕНІ ТАРАСА ШЕВЧЕНКА (Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko).

В Южной Африке в июле 2014 года выпущена обиходно-памятная биметаллическая монета номиналом 5 рэндов. Выпуск приурочен к 20-летию первых всеобщих выборов, проходивших 26–28 апреля 1994 года. Победу на выборах одержал Африканский национальный конгресс, до сих пор находящийся у власти. Лидер АНК, Нельсон Мандела, заключенный в тюрьму на 27 лет за борьбу против апартеида, стал первым чернокожим президентом новой многонациональной Южной Африки.
В центре аверса монеты – герб страны: щит с каймой, на котором изображены два приветствующих друг друга человека, над гербом – год выпуска. Слева и справа от герба надпись: ЮЖНАЯ АМЕРИКА на языках венда и южный ндебеле: TSHIPEMBE AFURIKA – ISEWULA AFRIKA.
Гурт содержит повторяющуюся надпись SARB R5 на вдавленной гладкой полосе поперек рифления.
Монета 5 рэндов из медно-никелевого сплава, со вставкой из латуни, имеет вес 9,4 г, диаметр 26 мм, толщину 3 мм. Тираж – 5 000 000 шт.

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) issued a commemorative circulation R5 coin celebrating20 Years of Democracy in South Africa.
The coin has the “20 Years of Freedom” logo depicted on the reverse side instead of the usual image of the wildebeest on the bi-metal R5 coin.
The obverse of the coin depicts the South African Coat of Arms, the year of issue (2014), with “South Africa” written in Tshivenda (Afurika Tshipembe) and in IsiNdebele (iSewula Afrika).
“This coin is a normal circulation coin and will form part of the R5 coins that are already in circulation throughout the country from July this year,” the South African Reserve Bank said in a statement.
In commemoration of the two decades of democracy, the South African Mint (SA Mint), a wholly owned subsidiary of the SARB, has launched a special three-coin Democracy Coin Set, consisting of a 24-carat gold R200 coin depicting former President Nelson Mandela casting his first vote; a sterling silver R2 crown featuring the South African flag and a commemorative R5 coin celebrating '20 Years of Freedom'.
The 20 Years of Democracy Coin Set is available for purchase at the SA Mint at the SA Mint in Centurion.

Банк России 7 августа 2014 года выпустил памятную монету серии «Российская Федерация»: Тюменская область.
Аверс традиционный: по окружности расположены надписи «БАНК РОССИИ» и «2014». Слева и справа на внешнем кольце расположены изображения ветви лавра и дуба соответственно, элементы изображения которых переходят на диск. В центре диска расположены число «10» и надпись «РУБЛЕЙ» под ним, обозначающие номинал монеты. Внутри цифры «0» имеется защитный элемент в виде числа «10» и надписи «РУБ», наблюдаемых под разными углами зрения к плоскости монеты. В нижней части диска расположен товарный знак монетного двора.
На реверсе на диске расположено изображение герба Тюменской области, на кольце по окружности имеются надписи: «РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ» и «ТЮМЕНСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ».
Гурт рифленый с надписями: «ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ», повторяющимися дважды, и разделенными звездочками.
Монета 10 рублей из биметалла, имеет диаметр 27 мм. Тираж — 10,0 млн. шт.

On August 7, 2014 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a commemorative coin of base metals:
The obverse: in the upper part of the coin there is an inscription along the rim: «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA), in the lower part — the year of issue «2014». On the left and on the right sides of the outer ring of the coin there are stylized images of laurel and oak twigs respectively, going over to the disc. In the center of the disc there is an indication of the face value of the coin «10 РУБЛЕЙ» (10 ROUBLES) in two lines. Inside the figure «0» there is a protective element in the form of the figure «10» and an inscription «РУБ» (RUB) visible when changing angles of vision. In the lower part of the disc there is a mint trademark.
The reverse side of the coin has an image of the Tyumen Region emblem placed on the disc. There are inscriptions on the ring along the circumference «РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ» (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) at the top and «ТЮМЕНСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ» (TYUMEN REGION) at the bottom.
The edge of the coin is corrugated and has an inscription «ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ» (TEN ROUBLES) recurring twice and divided by asterisks.
A coin is combined, 27.0 mm in diameter and consists of two parts — a disc made of white metal and an outer ring around the disc made of yellow metal. The mintage of the coin is 10 000 000 pcs.

The fourth release in the adorable Mother’s Love coin series features the brown bear. From the time a mother brown bear welcomes the arrival of her litter, a maternal bond is formed. Her cubs are vulnerable and reliant on her for food and shelter, and will usually stay in her sole care for up to four years. During these formative years, brown bear cubs learn how to hunt, fish and survive by imitating the behaviour of their adored protector.
The coin’s reverse features a coloured brown bear cub being cuddled by its mother in a cave. The inscription BROWN BEAR and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the design.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date, and the monetary denomination.
Each coin is housed in a classic presentation case with a stylised shipper featuring stunning imagery, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The popular and successful Masterpieces of Art series silver coins by Cook Islands has been replenished with a new piece of art. The $20 coin of .999 silver with Swarovski elements is dedicated to "Leda and the Swan", a painting by Peter Paul Rubens.
The obverse of the Cook Islands coin traditionally bears the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Along the rim of the silver coin, there are the inscriptions denoting the name of the Queen, the face value of the coin and the name of the issuing country.
