The Perth Mint has launched the ANZAC Spirit 100th Anniversary of the First World War coin series to commemorate and honor this important period in Australia’s history. The centenary serves as an opportunity to reflect on how Australia has developed as a country, from a dominion of the British Empire, to an independent, courageous nation, proud of its own distinct persona.
The series will run from 2014 to 2018 and include the annual issue of 1 oz silver and 1/4 oz gold coins as well as an annual 1/2 oz silver three coin set. Periodically, the Perth Mint will also announce special limited edition feature coins. The series will be supported with interesting historical mementos and memorabilia.
The first 1 oz silver proof coin represents the British declaration of war on August 4, 1914. The reverse design features a group of soldiers marching beneath a representation of Britannia holding her trident and wearing a Corinthian helmet, symbolic of British liberties and democracy. At center is a quote from Australian Prime Minister Joseph Cook, who declared “… When the Empire is at war, so is Australia at war.” The year “1914″ appears before the quote with a red poppy placed to the side.
Edge lettering is included around the coin’s rim which contains the words “PRIDE • RESPECT • GRATITUDE •”.
The 1/4 oz gold proof coin features a reverse design depicting a young boy watching soldiers marching along the Albany coastline, with a convoy of ships in King Georges Sound in the background. A red poppy is incorporated into the design. The words from a portion of a quote by Prime Minister Andrew Fisher appear above. During his election campaign, he said, “All, I am sure, will regret the critical position existing at the present time, and pray that a disastrous war may be averted. But should the worst happen after everything has been done that honour will permit, Australians will stand beside our own to help and defend her to our last man and our last shilling.”

As Prince George celebrates his first birthday we issue a fitting tribute – a crown design created for Her Majesty The Queen and not struck for more than 50 years. This official UK coin – approved by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – is struck in sterling silver to our flawless Proof quality. The design – a cruciform version of the Royal Arms – was given a modern twist with the floral emblems of the United Kingdom. What better gift could the nation give Prince George?
The coins struck for the birth and christening of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge have proved so popular. The silver coins struck to welcome him last year sold out in days. And to celebrate his first birthday we strike a rarely-seen design as a glorious sterling silver Proof crown. The cruciform, or cross-like, version of the Royal Arms was created for Her Majesty The Queen in her Coronation year. It is a traditional design, but with a modern twist. The first coins of The Queen’s reign saw Wales represented for the first time, here with the familiar shields of the Arms divided by floral emblems including the Welsh leek.
It was such a British coin, to be used for important events in The Queen’s reign. But it has been struck only once since, in 1960, awaiting a special occasion ever since. The first birthday of her great-grandson is just such an occasion – a tribute fit for a prince. Your sterling silver coin is finished to our Proof quality to highlight this rarely used, beautiful design. Only 7,500 will be struck – a numbered Certificate of Authenticity attests to this low issue – and the official UK coins struck for the prince have proved so popular that an early order is most highly recommended.

Second third coins in the popular Flowers in Canada niobium series!
Coin Rose
Canada's gardens are filled with a tremendous variety of flowers, but a few of them remain all-time favourites year after year. One of them is the rose, arguably the crowning glory of gardens everywhere. This seemingly delicate beauty is as old as the dinosaurs with roughly 150 species blooming in the Northern Hemisphere.
Today, gardeners cherish the rose for its endless forms and colours, its fragrance and its historic reputation as the preeminent exemplar of floral beauty from the Orient to the Middle East to Europe.
Give this coin as a creative twist to the rose bouquet. It's a wonderful work of art for gardeners and anyone who appreciates the beauty and history of roses!
Coin shows a single rose selectively coloured so it stands out from a sea of blooms—a tribute to the crowning glory of Canadian gardens from coast to coast. The design is further enhanced by the coin's oxidized niobium core to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind effect.

Coin Poinsettia
This enduring Canadian staple has a fascinating history. The poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) originally hails from Mexico and was cultivated by the Aztecs as a gift from the gods. In the early 1800s, Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first US ambassador to Mexico, brought cuttings home to South Carolina. From there, the plant's festive role spread across the continent, ultimately leading to its current name, which honours the plant-loving ambassador.
Coin shows a poinsettia flower selectively coloured so it stands out from a sea of blooms—a stunning tribute to the star-shaped flower that beautifies holiday festivities across Canada every year. The design is further enhanced by the coin's oxidized niobium core to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind effect.

The highest 3 ounces silver coin ever released (37 mm). It is featuring the famous African Springbok and ground finished with a .999 gold application. First Dome capsule which lock the coin inside it! Definitely a numismatic exclusive jewel to collect.
The springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) is a medium-sized brown and white antelope-gazelle of southwestern Africa. It is extremely fast and can reach speeds of 100 km/h (62 mph) and can leap 4 m (13 feet) through the air. The common name "springbok" comes from the Afrikaans and Dutch words spring = jump and bok = male antelope or goat.
This is the world’s first 3 oz silver full dimensional minting coin. The coin has the highest relief ever minted (37mm) and it is the first time that a coin is packed in a patented dome capsule which lock the coin in a floating state. This springbok was especially created by an artist exclusive for this coin issue. On the horns each single wave is visible. Even details like the ears the eyes or also the muscles are engraved in this sculpture. From each side the Springbok looks amazing. Even the ground is very detailed, on the left side a small hill is visible with a Protea flower (national flower of South Africa) directly in front of the Springbok, also very detailed.
The coin comes in a modern dome capsule that secures the coin between the bottom and the dome. The Springbok and the ground are finished with .999 gold to reinforces the details. After the finishing process the parts are polished by hand.
