February 7, 2014, National Bank of Ukraine issued collector coin dedicated to the 70th anniversary of liberation of the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, from the fascist invaders on February 8, 1944, as a result of the Nikopol-Krivoi Rog offensive executed by troops of the 3rd and 4th Ukrainian Fronts.
On the obverse there are: above — the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine); in the centre — the dynamic composition representing the offensive with participation of the tank units; below — the coin face value П`ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ (five hryvnias) with the coin issue year indication 2014 and the mark of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint thereunder.
On the reverse against the mirror-finished background there is depicted the composition: a ribbon-formed star with the inscription 70/років (70/years) and a laurel branch; also there are the circumscription ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ НІКОПОЛЯ ВІД ФАШИСТСЬКИХ ЗАГАРБНИКІВ (Liberation of Nikopol from the fascist invaders) and the legend 1944 (below).
