The Mint of Finland has had the honour to mint a commemorative coin in tribute to artist, author and cartoonist Tove Jansson. In its beautiful box, the commemorative coin makes for an impressive gift that will retain its meaning across the generations.

The commemorative coin minted now is the second in honour of Jansson, since she was first commemorated with a silver coin in 2004. It is a sign of Tove Jansson's significance to the Finnish people that only President Kekkonen has been granted two commemorative coins before her.

The Mint of Finland offers the 2014 Tove Jansson commemorative coin in two versions. The coin with a nominal value of EUR 10 comes packaged in a beautiful gift box, while the EUR 20 coin is offered in a recyclable cardboard package.

The Tove Jansson commemorative coin will be launched on 7 February, when both versions will become available through the Mint of Finland's online shop and retailers.
