Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts an image of a tree and images representing animals, which are the themes of the coins of the series. On the left side of the coin – a miniature profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the mint mark: m/w. Along the rim – inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE ISLAND" (the issuer), "2014" (the year of issue), "1 DOLLAR" (the face value).
