Канада в августе 2014 года представила семь монет «Год овцы».

Аверс традиционный: портрет королевы Елизаветы II и надписи «ELIZABETH II», «D•G•REGINA».

Реверс представляет различные изображение барана или только его головы и надписи с названием монеты на французском и английском языках, китайский иероглиф, название страны-эмитента, номинал и год выпуска.

Монета 250 долларов из серебра 999-й пробы (proof  with red color), имеет вес 1000 г, диаметр 102,1 мм. Тираж — 388 шт.
Монета 2 500 долларов из золота 999-й пробы (proof), имеет вес 1000 г, диаметр 101,6 мм. Тираж — 10 шт.

The year 2015 is ruled by the Sheep. The creative Sheep personality embodies wealth, warmth and loveliness. Good things seem to come to the Sheep naturally because of its irresistibly good nature. The Sheep rarely speaks its mind. It will go with the flow and only object when things aren't going its way. Push too hard and it will react—decisively! The gregarious Sheep is an eternal romantic. It adores being showered with love and attention.

The Year of the Sheep also ruled 1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991 and 2003.  However, people born in January or February should consult the Chinese lunar calendar. New Year does not automatically fall on January 1st. This celebration is better known as the Spring Festival and coincides with the first day of spring—a date that shifts from year to year depending upon the lunar cycle and solar year.

First two coins feature a sheep on a hill top, a sunset and the Chinese symbol for Sheep.

Other coins feature a detailed depiction of a Bighorn sheep, which is native to Canada's Rocky Mountains. Here, the sheep is viewed in three-quarter profile, which affords the viewer a close look at its distinctively long, spiral horns. An artistic rendering of bamboo–a symbol of longevity–fills the background. The Chinese character yang, meaning "sheep" or "goat," appears below the sheep's shoulder to represent the Year of the Sheep.

The reverses image of two other new coins by Canadian artist Three Degrees Creative captures the true essence of the sheep's character.

The reverse image features an artistic rendering of a Bighorn sheep – a native of Canada's Rocky Mountains. The use of colour showcases the sheep's beautiful brown colouring. Nestled within the curl of the sheep's distinctive spiral horn, the Chinese character yang (meaning "sheep" or "goat") denotes the Year of the Sheep.

Для Острова Ниуэ в 2014 году отчеканена монета «Зимний дворец» с изображением интерьеров этого дворца. Украшением монеты является сквозная вставка из большого кристалла Сваровски.

На аверсе представлено великолепное убранство дворца. Во внутреннем круге расположен портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Яна Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS). По краю имеются надписи «ELIZABETH II», «NIUE ISLAND», «2014», «Ag 999». В верхней части монеты полукругом выгравировано ее название «WINTER PALACE». В нижней части, также полукругом, обозначен номинал «2 DOLLARS».

На реверсе также показаны залы Зимнего дворца и надпись «SAINT PETERSBURG».

Монета 2 доллара из серебра 999-й пробы (Proof antique finish), имеет вес 56,7 г, диаметр 50 мм. Тираж — 666 шт.

The Winter Palace (Russian: Зимний дворец) in Saint Petersburg, Russia, was, from 1732 to 1917, the official residence of the Russian monarchs. Situated between the Palace Embankment and the Palace Square, adjacent to the site of Peter the Great's original Winter Palace, the present and fourth Winter Palace was built and altered almost continuously between the late 1730s and 1837, when it was severely damaged by fire and immediately rebuilt. The storming of the palace in 1917 as depicted in Soviet paintings and Eisenstein's 1927 film October became an iconic symbol of the Russian Revolution.

Today, the restored palace forms part of the complex of buildings housing the Hermitage Museum.
