The coin captures Mitre Peak in all its glory, with three unfurling fern fronds (koru) swirling around it to represent the realm of Tāwhirimātea (God of the Winds). The 2014 Kiwi Treasures coin combines the kiwi with Mitre Peak - the most prominent and well known feature of Milford Sound.
