In the upper part of the obverse – sophisticated ornaments embellished with selective gold plating. Below – a stylized piece of the Renaissance attic.  On the left – an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the mint mark (m/w) and face value "1 DOLLAR". Along the rim – inscriptions: "NIUE ISLAND" (the issuer), "Ag 999" (the hallmark), "ELIZABETH II 2014".

The reverse of the coin depicts a multicolour replica of the "Madonna of the Carnation". On the right – ornaments characteristic for the Renaissance art.  On both sides of the painting – inscriptions: "MADONNA OF THE CARNATION MADONNA Z GOŹDZIKIEM" (the name of the coin in Polish and English).
