Alaska Mint has released 3 medallions of the series «African Big Game Medallions». The issue dedicated to one of the most dangerous and exciting animals in Africa to hunt — Cape Buffalo.

There are three type of medallions (one design): in bronze, silver and silver plated gold. 

Obverse shows buffalo in nature. Reverse – house near the river and sunset. There are a text «ALASKA» and «LAND OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN».
